“We each carry in our DNA unique markers that tell a profound story about where we come from and highlight our connections to present-day Africa.”

—Dr. Gina Paige, African Ancestry Co-Founder

Last year’s first-ever Ancestry Reveal event provided a packed house full of folks from all over Brunswick County and surrounding locales with an exciting evening of information and edutainment.

In 2024, African Ancestry President & CEO, Dr. Gina Paige, will be returning once again to explain the innovative science and ethnocultural grounding on which her company was founded.

And once again, a panel of local residents who have consented to have their DNA tested by African Ancestry for this event will be present for The Big Reveal!

What's an "Ancestry Reveal"?

Will our 2024 panelists’ results, like last year’s, confirm ancestral connections to the people of west Africa’s fabled rice-growing regions who were brought to southeastern North Carolina expressly for their skills in cultivating the crop that became known as "Carolina Gold"?

Will the results connect them to the descendants of those Africans whose descendants are today called the Gullah Geechee?

Join us in 2024 for another family-friendly evening of sharing and discovery…and find out!!
